Our Prep students celebrated their 100th day of school with the theme ‘100 Days Brighter’. The students were very excited and took part in a range of activities based around the number 100, including counting to 100, spelling 100 words and finding 100 ducks.
It has been a very busy fortnight across the school. Our Grade 6 students attended a Science excursion and our Preps enjoyed a Science incursion. We also launched Jump Rope for Heart, took part in a dress-up day for World Homeless Day, and enjoyed Pizza Day.
Our current buildings and grounds works are now complete. The new slate roof looks amazing, the grate near Building A has been rebuilt, and internal works in Building A have included damp proofing Room 1A. We are very thankful to the Victorian Schools Building Authority and to all of the tradespeople who made the works possible.
A big thank you to everyone who supported our Scholastic Book Fair. We are grateful to the staff who donated their time to supervise the Fair, and to all the families and students who came along and made a purchase. A percentage of every sale goes towards fundraising for new resources for our school.
A very big thank you to everyone who passed on kind words of support on Friday for Principal’s Day. The cards, gifts and well wishes mean a lot. Miss Greene, who is currently on leave, also passes on her gratitude.
